Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, or TSMC (TPE:2330) posted consolidated revenue of NT$320.52 billion for May, surging 39.6% from a year prior.
Monthly, however, the figure was 8.3% lower, according to a Tuesday Taiwan Exchange filing.
Total revenue in the January-May period amounted to NT$1.51 trillion, up 42.6% annually, the chipmaker said.
Shares of the company gained nearly 2% in recent trade.
