Hunan Gold's (SHE:002155) unit, Hunan Anhua Zhazi Creek Mining, temporarily suspended the operations of its smelting plant, Anhua Zhazi Creek Smelter, for maintenance, according to a Shenzhen bourse filing on Saturday.
Shares of the Chinese gold smelter closed 1% on Monday.
The suspension is expected to last for up to 30 days. The annual maintenance works will include equipment repairs.
The Anhua Zhazi Creek Smelter produced 1,374 tons of refined antimony between January and March. It also posted a net profit of 113.7 million yuan and an operating revenue of 244 million yuan and during the first quarter.
