CHN Energy Changyuan Electric Power's (SHE:000966) power generation in June dropped 24% year on year to 2.51 billion kilowatt hours, according to a Shenzhen bourse filing on Friday.
Hydropower and new energy power generation jumped 36% and 9.1% from a year earlier, respectively, while thermal power generation fell 29% from the previous year.
Between January and June, the Chinese power company's power generation slipped 8.3% to 16.7 billion kWh from the prior year.
The company's shares rose over 1% during the midday trade.
