Canadian Phosphate (ASX:CP8) submitted a notice of work application for a multi-year area-based exploration permit at its wholly owned Wapiti phosphate project, in British Columbia, Canada, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
An exploration target prepared by Dahrouge Geological Consulting based on historical drilling and trenching data, outlines a potential 20.2 million tonnes to 28.6 million tonnes of phosphorus pentoxide with a grade between 15.76% and 15.96% across five modeled zones in the northern portion of the property.
The target should be assessed by geological mapping, sampling and drilling over the next two years of exploration, once the appropriate permits are received, the firm added.
