Saturn Metals (ASX:STN) said the measured, indicated, and inferred mineral resource estimate for the Apollo Hill gold project in Western Australia increased to 137.1 million tonnes at 0.51 grams per tonne grade of gold for 2.2 million ounces, representing a 59% increase in the combined measured and indicated mineral resource classification to 1.8 million ounces, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
The combined measured and indicated mineral resource classification represents 82% of the total mineral resource.
An additional 300 reverse circulation drill holes, nine diamond drill holes, as well as 25 additional metallurgical and geotechnical diamond drill holes holes contributed to the update.
The firm will use the updated estimate to develop the prefeasibility study, mining inventory, and production forecast as well as the first Apollo Hill ore reserve. Both are planned to be released later this year.
It is continuing to drill towards developing another mineral resource update, which will provide the basis for a definitive feasibility study, mining inventory, and production forecast, as well as an updated ore reserve.
