Sovereign Metals (ASX:SVM) said that test work on graphite from its Kasiya rutile-graphite project in Malawi achieved successful coated spherical purified graphite production characteristics with superior performance metrics, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The testing focused on optimizing the coating process for the Kasiya-derived spherical purified graphite while maintaining premium performance.
The firm said the results will assist with ongoing offtake discussions with anode manufacturers.
The firm's shares rose almost 3% in recent trading on Monday.
