0758 GMT - The Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone is likely to attract more investments over the coming years as policymakers in Malaysia and Singapore seek to boost the countries' competitiveness, DBS senior economists say in a report. Policymakers on both sides see the zone as a growth opportunity amid rising global protectionism. "They aim to create a favorable business environment by simplifying customs procedures to improve the flow of people and goods," the economists write. DBS notes that investments and momentum in Johor have gained traction this year and expects strong investor interest to continue. (amanda.lee@wsj.com)
