Yangzijiang Shipbuilding's (SGX:BS6) attributable profit in H1 was up 37% to 4.18 billion yuan from 3.06 billion yuan a year earlier, according to a Wednesday filing with the Singapore Exchange.
Earnings per share rose to 1.0602 yuan compared with 0.7742 yuan in the comparable period.
Revenue declined 1% year over year to 12.9 billion yuan from 13.0 billion yuan, with the company delivering 23 vessels on schedule.
Shares of the shipbuilder were up over 2% in recent trading.
