Goodman Property Trust May Underperform Other New Zealand REITs -- Market Talk

Dow Jones08-12

2338 GMT - New Zealand REITs are starting to outperform again. But Macquarie thinks Goodman Property Trust may struggle to keep pace with peers in terms of share-price gains. That's because it already trades at book value and has a tight dividend yield. Macquarie says Goodman Property Trust "has strong embedded growth from under-renting and recent fund management execution provides funding capacity for accretive development opportunities including its first data center." Still, the industrial backdrop is incrementally softer. Goodman Property Trust also trades around book value, so is at a premium to the sector. Macquarie retains a neutral call on the stock.
