Market Chatter: Boeing Defense Union Seeks Help from Missouri Lawmakers to Intervene in Strike

MT Newswires Live2025-08-14

A union representing about 3,200 Boeing (BA) defense workers in the St. Louis area has urged US lawmakers from Missouri to push the planemaker back to the bargaining table, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

The IAM Union said it has sent letters to senators and representatives seeking intervention after members earlier this month rejected an offer of a 20% wage increase and higher retirement contributions, the report said.

Boeing did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
