CNSIG Inner Mongolia Chemical Industry (SHA:600328) will invest in the construction of a natural soda mining pilot project of China National Salt Alkali Industry, according to a Friday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
The company invested 360.3 million yuan in the 5-million-ton trona project, which is set to last seven months, the filing said.
CNSIG Inner Mongolia Chemical Industry invested in the establishment of China National Salt Alkali Industry, which is responsible for acquiring and developing trona resources in Inner Mongolia, the filing said.
Trona is a mineral processed into soda ash.
