Zhejiang Orient Financial's H1 Profit Soars 176%, Revenue Drops 40%; Shares Up 2%

Zhejiang Orient Financial's (SHA:600120) net profit attributable to shareholders in the first half soared 176% to 407.1 million yuan from 147.6 million yuan a year earlier, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Saturday.

The Chinese financial company's shares rose over 2% during Monday's morning trade.

Earnings per share surged 200% year on year to 0.12 yuan from 0.04 yuan.

Operating revenue dropped 40% to 3.48 billion yuan from 5.82 billion yuan in the previous year.
