Shanghai Construction's H1 Profit Falls 14%, Revenue Drops 28%; Shares Rises 1%

Shanghai Construction Group's (SHA:600170) net profit attributable to shareholders in the first half fell 14% to 710.1 million yuan from 826.3 million yuan a year earlier, according to a Shanghai bourse disclosure on Saturday.

The Chinese construction company's shares rose over 1% during Monday's afternoon trade.

Earnings per share dropped 17% year on year to 0.05 yuan from 0.06 yuan.

Operating revenue slumped 28% to 105 billion yuan from 146 billion yuan in the previous year.
