OpenAI Plans to Launch Jobs Platforms, AI Certification Program for AI Roles

OpenAI plans to launch an AI-driven Jobs platform to help employers connect with candidates with artificial intelligence skills, it said Thursday, as the Microsoft-backed company looks to expand its reach across businesses and public sector.

The creator of ChatGPT will also be unveiling a certifications program that will teach basics of AI at work including prompt engineering. The company has tied up with several organizations for the program including Walmart (WMT) and aims to certify 10 million Americans by 2030.

The announcement comes in line with White House's push to broaden AI literacy in the country.

With the Jobs platform, the company intends to help local businesses compete, and local government match with potential candidates, it added.

The company is working in collaboration with multiple companies such as John Deere, Boston Consulting Group and Accenture (ACN) among others to build on its initiatives that could put it in competition with employment platforms like LinkedIn.
