Southern Cross Gold Consolidated (ASX:SX2) said results from four diamond drill holes from the Apollo and Apollo East prospects, at the Sunday Creek gold-antimony project in Victoria, showed high-grade extensions to previous drilling, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
It encountered intercepts of 10.8 meters at 12.6 grams-per-tonne grade of gold from 669.7 meters, as well as 3.1 meters at 22.7 g/t grade of gold and 8% grade of antimony from 690.5 meters.
The mineralization extended 75 meters east and 115 meters down-dip beyond previous drilling, expanding the exploration target. The mining firm is awaiting results from further drill holes.
