LB Group (SHE:002601) said five people died and one was injured following a Sept. 2 accident at the sulfuric acid production line of wholly-owned subsidiary Lomon Xiangyang Titanium Industry.
Operations at the plant were suspended while an investigation is underway, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.
The accident is not expected to significantly affect overall production capacity.
Shares of the chemical producer were down 1% in recent trade.
