BRC's P/S ratio would be typical for a company that's only expected to deliver moderate growth, and importantly, perform in line with the industry.   Taking a look back first, the company's revenue growth last year wasn't something to get excited about as it posted a disappointing decline of 4.6%.   Even so, admirably revenue has lifted 47% in aggregate from three years ago, notwithstanding the last 12 months.  Accordingly, while they would have preferred to keep the run going, shareholders would definitely welcome the medium-term rates of revenue growth.     Shifting to the future, estimates from the four analysts covering the company suggest revenue should grow by 14% per annum over the next three years.  With the industry only predicted to deliver 2.6% each year, the company is positioned for a stronger revenue result.  With this information, we find it interesting that BRC is trading at a fairly similar P/S compared to the industry.  It may be that most investors aren't convinced the company can achieve future growth expectations.    The Final Word  Using the price-to-sales ratio alone to determine if you should sell your stock isn't sensible, however it can be a practical guide to the company's future prospects.  Despite enticing revenue growth figures that outpace the industry, BRC's P/S isn't quite what we'd expect.
