Core from a third and final hole, completed to about 584 metres with a priority interval, has already been couriered to the lab for fast-tracked assays.Zenith is poised to report a pipeline of numbers over the coming weeks as it zeroes in on an intrusion-related gold system with scale.Today’s update follows the results from an earlier deep hole reported on September 11, where a fast-tracked interval delivered a spectacular 139.7-metre intercept at 1.05 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 214.9m, including internal licks of 14.2m at 4.62 g/t and 9.45m at 5.29 g/t.Importantly, the widths and grades came within flow-banded rhyolite, including a semi-massive sulphide vein near the basal contact. That’s precisely the sort of textural and geochemical signposts Zenith has used to prosecute its Mt Wright-style intrusive-related gold system (IRGS) model at depth.A second hole, testing an eastern copper-porphyry target, wrapped at about 465m and is co-funded by the Queensland Government’s Collaborative Exploration Initiative (CEI) to the tune of roughly $275,000.The company has broadened its assay suite beyond gold to include silver and key pathfinders to characterise the system. Management has also applied for additional tenure around Red Mountain and kicked off district-scale soils to vector further intrusion centres.With the third hole designed to step below the broad mineralised zone from the September 11 hole, the geological expectations are that grades should strengthen with depth if the Mt Wright analogue continues to hold. That’s the test now in the lab.The company says investors should brace for steady news flow as results land across all three holes and feed into the next round of target ranking.While Red Mountain rightly hogs the spotlight today, Zenith has been tidying the balance sheet and sharpening its Australian gold focus. A fully underwritten $3.5 million rights issue closed in July, while the sale of the company’s last Turkish gold interest delivered $820,000 in August. The CEI grant also helped defray the cost of deep drilling in Queensland.It’s a lean but purposeful treasury pointed squarely at domestic ounces after cutting offshore distractions.In Western Australia, rigs are busy at the Consolidated Dulcie gold project. The Dulcie Far North resource sits at 8.2 million tonnes at 1.15 g/t for 302,000 inferred ounces, with a broader exploration target of 10-24Mt at 0.9-1.1 g/t spanning Dulcie, Dulcie North and Dulcie Far North.A phase one reverse circulation drilling program kicked off at Dulcie Far North in August as the opener to a 9000m-12,000m campaign aimed at converting slices of that target and probing high-grade structural positions along strike and at depth. With low-strip, open-pit geometry and multiple lodes to chase, Dulcie is shaping up as Zenith’s near-term resource-growth baton while Queensland does the heavy lifting on discovery scale.Zenith has also been fanning out in Queensland beyond Red Mountain. Early reconnaissance delivered rock chips up to 23.3 g/t gold at the Auburn prospect, while historic hits such as 0.5m at 28.5 g/t gold with 35 g/t silver at Privateer provide the sort of smoke that matters in a district-scale IRGS hunt when stitched together with soils, magnetics and IP surveys.Strategically, the ingredients appear to be coming together for a junior that is turning momentum into ounces. There’s a headline hole that demonstrates thickness and grade with a deeper test already in the assay queue, fresh ground is being added, pathfinder geochemistry is widening the geological picture, and the WA program is looking to deliver tangible resource updates in the near term. Add a tightened corporate story, captured in Zenith’s “cashed up and going for Aussie gold” messaging, and the stage is set for a busy spring.Bottom line is that drilling is done and assays are next. If the deep system at Red Mountain delivers on the Mt Wright lookalike storyline and Dulcie keeps filling out, Zenith has the makings of an interesting fourth quarter.
