Accel Entertainment Taps Former Kraft Heinz Exec for CFO

Accel Entertainment appointed Brett Summerer, a former executive at Kraft Heinz, Corning and General Motors, as its new chief financial officer.

Summerer will take over from Mark Phelan, who had been serving as acting CFO as well as president of U.S. gaming for the video gambling company.

Summerer was most recently chief financial officer of cannabis company Verano Holdings and previously served as CFO of U.S. operations at Kraft Heinz.

Summerer will receive a base salary of $460,000 and is eligible for an annual bonus of 65% of his base salary and an annual equity equity-based award worth 115% of his base salary. He will also receive 40,000 restricted stock units of the company.
