MT Newswires Live09-30

Strickland Metals (ASX:STK) said recent drilling results expanded the Gradina deposit of its Rogozna gold and base metals project in Serbia, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

The results were up to 44.3 meters at 1.1 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 479 meters, including 8 meters at 3 g/t gold from 479 meters.

The mineralization at Gradina remains open in all directions, including up-dip towards surface, while eight rigs continue operating at the project, with three rigs currently drilling at Gradina to support the delivery of a maiden mineral resource estimate late this year.

The company said it remains well-funded, with cash as of June 30 and liquids totalling AU$52.4 million.

The company's shares rose past 3% in recent Tuesday trade.
