Wuhan Keqian Biology Gains Approval for Pig Vaccine

Wuhan Keqian Biology (SHA:688526) said its porcine senecavirus A inactivated vaccine received official approval as a new veterinary drug from China's agriculture and rural affairs ministry.

Senecavirus A causes vesicular lesions in pigs that are hard to distinguish from diseases such as foot-and-mouth disease, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.

The approval has a five-year monitoring period.

Shares of the veterinary drug manufacturer closed 1% higher Tuesday.
