Aurum Resources (ASX:AUE) reported an increase of 320,000 ounces, or 53%, in indicated resources for the mineral resource estimate at its Boundiali gold project in Ivory Coast in 920,000 ounces of gold, with the total gold resources for the project coming in at at 2.4 million ounces at 1 grams per tonne grade of gold, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The update was supported by mineral resources at the BMT3 deposit of indicated resources totaling 7.6 million tonnes at 1.3 g/t grade of gold for 320,000 ounces, as well as inferred resources totaling 8.6 million tonnes at 1 g/t Au for 270,000 ounces.
The firm also began a prefeasibility study for the project slated for completion in the first quarter of 2026.
Its shares fell 2% in recent trading on Monday.
