OpenLearning (ASX:OLL) received firm commitments to raise AU$2.6 million through a placement of 118.2 million shares at AU$0.022 each to institutional, sophisticated, and institutional investors, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The offer price represents a 1% discount to the stock's 15-day volume-weighted average price, the filing said.
The funds will be used to expand into new markets, advance produce development, and for general working capital, the filing added.
Shares of the company rose 20% in recent Wednesday trade.
