Lvji Technology (HKG:1745) said it plans to diversify beyond its core cultural tourism business by launching a new venture combining "cultural tourism IP + gold industry", according to a Tuesday Hong Kong bourses filing.

Shares of the firm were up nearly 5% in Wednesday morning trade.

The company is considering setting up a wholly owned Hong Kong subsidiary to sell gold coin sets, including commemorative, investment, and collectible coins, through flagship and franchise stores.

It may also explore acquisitions of local gold coin firms to strengthen its industry presence, the filing said.
