Ming Yang Smart Energy (SHA:601615) proposed to construct a wind turbine manufacturing base in Scotland for 1.5 billion pounds sterling, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Monday.
The manufacturing base will be built in three phases. The first phase is set to finish an advanced nacelle and blade manufacturing plant, which will produce its first batch by the end of 2028.
The power company's shares jumped 3% during the midday trade.
