Kering's New Chief Is Already Making Bold Moves -- Market Talk
Dow Jones10-20
0701 GMT - Kering's new Chief Executive Luca de Meo is making big strides in selling fragrance brand House of Creed and license rights for labels such as Gucci and Balenciaga to L'Oreal, analysts at Deutsche Bank say. Fixing the company's balance sheet is a priority for de Meo, the analysts say. He started the position in September and seems to be acting quickly to put changes in place, they say. De Meo has clearly got the mandate to make large changes such as the sale, they add. Also, L'Oreal will be able to make better use of these assets over time, they say. (aimee.look@wsj.com)
