China Everbright Greentech (HKG:1257) said its unit Everbright Ecological Remediation has signed an agreement with Baoying Energy for the disposal of excessive household waste from a landfill closure project in Jiangsu, China, according to a Thursday bourse filing.
Shares of the firm gained over 2% in Friday morning trade.
Baoying Energy will incinerate about 48,000 tonnes of household waste, including 25,000 tonnes in 2025 and 23,000 tonnes in 2026, at a fee of 126.29 yuan per tonne.
The total consideration amounts to roughly 6.1 million yuan, to be paid in cash, the filing said.
Everbright said Baoying Energy was chosen for its proximity to the project site and available capacity, noting that other nearby waste facilities were at full load.
