UniCredit's Results Look Solid But Unexciting -- Market Talk
Dow Jones10-22
0641 GMT - UniCredit kept its guidance unchanged despite reporting third-quarter earnings ahead of expectations. "We think these are solid results but perhaps not enough to excite the market since the [UniCredit] share price has traded broadly in line with the [Euro Stoxx Bank index] over the last month," Keefe, Bruyette & Woods analysts Hugo Cruz and Ben Maher say in note. Better trading lifted revenue, provisions were lower than expected and asset quality was stable, they say. (elena.vardon@wsj.com)
