Toronto Indexes Open Down as Gold Miners Drag -- Market Talk

1016 ET - Toronto's indexes are on their back feet in early trading, with the biggest decliners in materials stocks. Canada's S&P/TSX Composite Index is down 1.3% at 30013 and the blue-chip S&P/TSX 60 falls 1% to 1769. Among the biggest decliners of the session are gold miners, with the main laggard Lundin gold, off 13%, followed by Aya Gold & Silver, down 12% and Seabridge Gold, also 12% lower.
