Shares of Capstone Copper (ASX:CSC) rose over 1%, while those of Aeris Resources (ASX:AIS) fell past 2% in recent trading on Monday after copper rose to under $11,000 per tonne, nearing an all-time high.
Three-month futures rose 1% to $10,962.50 per tonne in London. Concerns over supply impacted the metal's price as production at Freeport-McMoRan's Grasberg mine in Indonesia remains suspended after a fatal mudslide.
