Estrella Resources (ASX:ESR) has commenced its maiden drilling campaign at the Werumata Limestone Project in Timor-Leste, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The company has secured water supplies for drilling and successfully mobilized diamond and reverse-circulation (RC) rigs, with initial drilling set to cover two limestone plateaus through six diamond and 26 RC holes, targeting an inferred resource of over 500 million tonnes, per the filing.
All drill pads and access tracks were completed early and under budget, with a follow-up program planned pending initial assay results, the filing added.
