Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.B, BRK.A): Warren Buffett's conglomerate said earnings rose 17% after its insurance business picked up last quarter. Plus, its trove of cash and equivalents hit a record high. Shares rose more than 1% in premarket trading.
Pfizer $(PFE)$: The drugmaker sued to block Metsera $(MTSR)$ from terminating their multibillion-dollar merger deal, after Novo Nordisk (DK:NOVO.B, NVO) made an unsolicited, rival takeover bid.
ON Semiconductor $(ON)$: The semiconductor-components maker is due to report quarterly earnings this morning. Shares rose premarket, as did other chip stocks, including Nvidia (NVDA) and Micron Technology $(MU)$.
Palantir (PLTR): The artificial-intelligence data-analysis company is due to post results this afternoon. Shares gained nearly 2% before the bell.
Aurinia Pharmaceuticals $(AUPH)$: The Canadian pharmaceutical company sued a Food and Drug Administration official. Dr. George Tidmarsh, who was hired to lead the FDA's drug division in July, resigned from the agency on Sunday.
CompoSecure (CMPO): The credit-card manufacturer is set to acquire Husky Technologies, a molding-equipment provider, from Platinum Equity for roughly $5 billion, including debt, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Ryanair (IE:RYA, RYAAY): The Irish budget airline posted an increase in first-half net profit that beat estimates. It said earlier-than-expected deliveries of Boeing $(BA)$ aircraft would allow it to carry more passengers in fiscal 2026 than previously forecast. However, shares fell more than 2%.
