Bethel Automotive Safety Systems Sets Up Robot-Making JV With Jinrun Tech Unit

Bethel Automotive Safety Systems (SHA:603596) established a 100 million yuan robot-making joint venture with Langfang Jinrun Electric, a unit of Langfang Jinrun Technology Group, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Thursday.

The subsidiary, Wuhu Bethel Drive Technology, will manufacture motors and control systems and industrial robots, as well as software and automotive parts.

Bethel will own 60% of the venture, while Jinrun Electric will hold 40%.

The Chinese automotive braking systems manufacturer's shares rose less than 2% during the midday trade.
