Air Canada is Getting A Batch of New Aircraft, Retiring Old Ones -- Market Talk

0911 ET - Out with the old, in with the new. Air Canada is gaining 35 new aircraft shortly, the most that it has taken on at any one time. On an analyst call, executives say the big influx of new aircraft will come as the company retires older ones. Executives say that the net increase will likely be a low-teens, low-double digit gain for the fleet. At the end of 3Q, Air Canada had 366 aircraft. (adriano.marchese@wsj.com)
