Airport Traffic Cuts Come During Low-Demand Period for Frontier -- Market Talk

Dow Jones11-07

1625 ET - The FAA's order for air traffic to be cut by 10% at 40 major airports arrives during a low-demand period of November for Frontier Airlines, CEO Barry Biffle says on a call with analysts. "I think we'll be able to accommodate everyone," he says. The cuts might even be a positive simply because the company will be able to generate stronger revenue per available seat mile with fewer overall flights, the CEO says. "I think that the customer disruption is more my larger concern, but I don't see this being a major impact to us," Biffle says. Shares rise 1% to $3.89. (dean.seal@wsj.com)
