Vestas Wind Systems' Buyback Wasn't Expected -- Market Talk

Dow Jones11-05

0837 GMT - The highlights of Vestas Wind Systems' third-quarter earnings are stronger-than-expected margins, cash flow, and an unexpected 150 million-euro share buyback, J.P. Morgan analysts write. While the Danish wind-turbine maker beat expectations, it narrowed its full-year guidance with an unchanged midpoint, they say. This means that any potential upside to 2025 consensus expectations would be modest, they add. Shares trade up 13% at 147.40 kroner. (adam.whittaker@wsj.com)
