Bowman Consulting Stock Falls as 3Q Revenue Misses Estimates

Shares of Bowman Consulting declined after third-quarter revenue missed Wall Street's expectations.

The stock fell 18% to $36.44, on pace for its largest percent decrease in more than a year. Shares are up 46% this year.

The engineering services firm posted a profit of $6.62 million, or 37 cents a share, up from $771,000, or 4 cents a share, a year earlier.

Adjusted earnings per share were 61 cents, ahead of estimates of 46 cents a share according to analysts polled by FactSet.

Organic net revenue rose to $108 million from $101.4 million, missing analyst estimates of $114.8 million.

The increase was led by 11% higher organic revenue in the transportation segment. Revenue also increased in its building infrastructure and power and utilities segments.

Still, the company backed its full-year revenue outlook, guiding for $430 million to $442 million.
