Wanhua Chemical to Shut Down MDI Phase II Unit for Maintenance; Shares Up 4%

Wanhua Chemical (SHA:600309) said the MDI Phase II unit will suspend operation for maintenance works starting Nov. 15, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Saturday.

The Chinese chemical manufacturer's shares jumped less than 4% during Monday's midday trade.

The unit, which produces 1 million tons every year, is owned by the company's subsidiary Wanhua Chemical (Ningbo).

The maintenance work will run for about 55 days.
