Energy Transition Minerals Says Danish Court Allows Claims Against Greenland, Denmark Government to Proceed

MT Newswires Live11-11

Energy Transition Minerals (ASX:ETM) said the Copenhagen City Court cleared the way to pursue an exploitation license for the Kvanefjeld project and potential damages claims against the governments of Greenland and Denmark, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The company argues that the Uranium Act was applied retroactively and unlawfully, violating previously established rights and international investment standards, the filing said.

The court ruled that the Greenlandic authorities shall not be parties to the Danish proceedings brought by the company's Greenland Minerals subsidiary against the governments of Greenland and Denmark.

The main case will move forward against Greenlandic authorities before the Greenland High Court, while the case in Denmark may proceed against the Government of Denmark following the conclusion of the main case in Greenland, per the filing.
