Shares of Viant Technology climbed after the AI-powered advertising firm saw higher revenue in the third quarter.
Shares were up 16% on Tuesday, trading at $10.18. Year to date, the stock is down 46%.
Viant reported total revenue of $85.6 million, compared with $79.9 million in the previous year,
The company posted a profit of $5.2 million, or 6 cents a share, compared with $6.5 million, or 9 cents a share, a year prior.
Non-GAAP profit was $11.2 million, or 12 cents a share, compared with $12.3 million, or 15 cents a share, one year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected a profit of 5 cents a share and non-GAAP earnings of 14 cents a share.
The company's contribution ex-TAC, which measures revenue minus certain digital advertising expenses, was $53 million for the quarter, compared with $47.4 million a year earlier.
Viant said it expects fourth-quarter contribution ex-TAC to be between $62 million and $64 million.
