BAE Systems Should Feel Relief from Nearing End to U.S. Government Shutdown -- Market Talk

Dow Jones11-10

0741 GMT - BAE Systems should experience some relief after the U.S. Senate voted to advance a bill aimed at ending the 40-day U.S. government shutdown, Jefferies says in a research note. The U.K. defense group, which makes a large chunk of its revenue from U.S. government orders, has proven resilient to past shutdowns, the analysts note. The bill provides back pay for federal employees, including air-traffic controllers, and delays workforce cuts, amid other measures. (cristina.gallardo@wsj.com)
