PublicSquare agreed to acquire key software assets from Tandym in a move to add virtual and private label credit cards to its financial technology offerings.

PublicSquare will pay $5.75 million in class A common stock and up to $1 million in cash for the assets.

PublicSquare said the asset acquisition would allow its merchants to launch their own branded payment and credit-cart programs to increase loyalty and drive higher transaction volumes.

The acquisition is expected to close in December.
