Midwest's Consolidated Profit Jumps in Fiscal Q2

Midwest's (NSE:MIDWESTLTD, BOM:544587) consolidated attributable profit rose to 277.8 million Indian rupees in the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30, from 148.7 million rupees a year ago.

Earnings per share came in at 8.19 rupees from 4.56 rupees a year earlier, according to a Thursday filing to the Indian stock exchanges by the natural stone and mining company.

Revenue from operations in fiscal Q2 also increased to 1.59 billion rupees from 1.41 billion rupees a year prior.
