Canadian Pacific Kansas City reached a new tentative agreement with the union representing its engineers and trainmen.

The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen agreed to a five-year collective agreement providing increased wages and more flexible hours, the Calgary, Alberta, rail company said Thursday.

The tentative agreement covers 300 locomotive engineers on the Soo Line property operating trains in Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin.

The company announced in recent weeks more than a dozen other tentative agreements with unions representing hundreds of employees in the U.S. All agreements announced this month are pending ratification by the unions' membership.
