Keppel DC REIT (SGX:AJBU) completed the acquisition of the Tokyo Data Centre 3 in Inzai City, Japan, for 82.1 billion Japanese yen, according to a Wednesday filing with the Singapore Exchange.
Shares of the REIT were up over 1% in Thursday trading.
The REIT utilized around SG$229.8 million from the proceeds of a placement exercise to finance the acquisition of the data center. Of the total SG$404.5 million raised, the remaining balance is now SG$127.1 million.
Keppel DC REIT now holds a 98.47% effective interest in the data center, while the remaining 1.53% effective interest will be held by Keppel (SGX:BN4).
