StubHub (STUB) is being reviewed by the UK's Competition and Markets Authority as part of the regulator's new push on online pricing practices, the CMA said Tuesday.
The regulator is examining whether StubHub includes mandatory ticket fees upfront or adds them later in the checkout process, it said.
The investigation is one of the first launched under the CMA's new Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act powers, which allow it to rule on potential breaches and issue penalties, the authority said.
The CMA also said other companies that are also under investigation are viagogo, AA Driving School, Gold's Gym, and Wayfair, among others.
