Bilibili (HKG:9626) entered into a cooperation agreement with Beijing Jinjiang Original Networking Technology related to intellectual property, including literature works, owned by or licensed to the latter, a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing said.
The agreement replaces and supersedes an existing contract signed in 2023 and ending Jan. 1, 2026.
Under the contract, effective from Jan. 1, 2026, to Dec. 31, 2028, the digital content company can acquire the copyrights of various works and use them against the required licensing and procurement fees and other amounts.
The copyrights can be used for adaptation, information network dissemination, advertisement, and distribution among other uses.
Beijing Jinjiang Original Networking Technology is 50% held by Shanghai Hongwen, an associate of Tencent (HKG:0700), which is the substantial shareholder of Bilibili.
