Atkore to Consider Potential Sale or Merger Under Expanded Strategic Alternatives Review

MT Newswires Live11-20

Atkore (ATKR) said Thursday that its board has expanded the scope of its ongoing review of strategic alternatives to include assets outside its core electrical infrastructure portfolio.

The expanded review will now consider a broader set of alternatives, including a potential sale or merger of the entire company, Atkore said. No deadline or definitive timetable has been set for completing the review.

Additionally, Atkore said it will appoint Franklin Edmonds to its board as part of a cooperation agreement with Irenic Capital Management, which has agreed to customary standstill and voting commitments.

Atkore also said its board will form a strategic review committee to oversee and advise the board on the review process. Bruce Taten, a director at Aviat Networks (AVNW), will serve as Special Advisor to the committee.
