SD Guthrie's Industrial Park JV Set to Provide Recurring Revenue -- Market Talk

0106 GMT - SD Guthrie is projected to book a 526 million ringgit disposal gain in 2H 2026 from the sale of 942 acres of land in Malaysia's Johor state, Maybank IB analyst Ong Chee Ting says in a note. The deal follows an industrial park joint venture with Eco World Development and the Johor state investment arm. The 10-year, 3.75 billion ringgit development will target sectors such as electrical and electronics, logistics and clean technology, he notes. SD Guthrie's 25% JV stake could also provide longer-term recurring contributions, he adds. Maybank maintains a buy rating on SD Guthrie and keeps its target price at MYR5.75. Shares are 1.1% higher at MYR5.46. (yingxian.wong@wsj.com)
