New Hope's Coal Production Falls in Three Months to October

New Hope's (ASX:NHC) run-of-mine (ROM) coal production fell to 3.9 million tonnes in the quarter ended Oct. 31, from 4 million tonnes last year, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

Saleable coal production for the quarter was 2.7 million tonnes, unchanged from the previous year, the filing said.

Coal sales fell to 2.7 million tonnes from 2.8 million tonnes, the filing added.

The company reported underlying earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization of AU$107.9 million for the quarter, down from AU$304.6 million in the previous year.

For the fiscal year 2026, the mining firm targets saleable coal production of 10.2 million to 11.5 million tonnes. It expects ROM coal production for the fiscal year at 15.7 million to 17.7 million tonnes.

Shares of the company fell 2% in recent Tuesday trade.
